Conference Room Dedicated to Former Outreach AVP

Richard W. Little, former senior associate vice president of Outreach, was recently honored with a conference room dedication in his name. On October 25, 2016, the main conference room in the CCE Administration building was dedicated as the Richard W. Little Conference Room, in acknowledgment of the contributions he made to OU Outreach.

“Considering how many important discussions were held, as well as decisions made in this room, I think it is very fitting to dedicate this workspace to Richard,” said James Pappas, vice president for Outreach. “His decades of service to our organization, the growth he helped foster and the leadership he provided are all a testament to him, and he deserves to be recognized for his many accomplishments.”

Little was responsible for program activity in the areas of business, management, education, aviation, engineering, geosciences, arts and sciences and economic development. He also administered the Outreach’s Advanced Programs, which provides six different master’s degrees conferred at twenty-five international sites. He also oversaw the administration of national contracts with the American Bankers Association, Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, International Economic Development Council and the Transportation Security Administration. Following his retirement in 2013, Little continues to teach for OU’s Price College of Business.
