Current Conversations Expands Viewership on OETA this Fall
The University of Oklahoma Video and Media Services’ (VMS) show Current Conversations is scheduled for statewide viewing. Beginning October 4 the program will air on public television station, OETA HD.
For the past year, Current Conversations aired on OU Television 152. OETA HD will present the program on Sundays at 1:00 pm. Video and Media Services’ director, Ray Leyva, says the VMS team is energized by the larger viewership.
“The quality of the program, in content and production, warrants a larger audience. We’re pleased to forge this relationship with OETA, and we’re ready for more people to see the show,” Leyva said.
R.C. Davis-Undiano, Neustadt professor and executive director of World Literature Today, hosts Current Conversations. The show is a lively, one-on-one forum between Undiano and people who are making a difference in the world–scientists, educators, humanists, writers, and artists. The goal is to focus on people who function as “bridge builders,” making important connections between areas of knowledge in the culture.
The show, filmed at the VMS studio in the Thurman J. White Forum Building at the University of Oklahoma, has welcomed famous environmentalists, authors, documentarians, political scientists and other leading voices.
