Outreach Stays Sweet (and Cool!) for Supplies

When it comes to sweets and school supplies, Outreach sure knows how to get things done! The Quality of Life Committee hosted a second fundraiser this summer to help pay for school supplies (particularly backpacks) for children of Outreach staff in need. The theme was ice cream floats, with the “ice cream” donated graciously by Rusty’s Custard Factory. It was the perfect treat for a hot August day and the funds raised were just as cool…the floats brought in $575 and Dr. Pappas matched us at $200, for a total of $775! (Let’s not forget that last month’s bake sale brought in over $800!) In summation, the Outreach family raised nearly $1800 to help a total of 49 children from 20 Outreach families….WOW!  Thank you to each and every person who donated, whether baked goods, supplies, or money. As always, the Outreach family sure knows how to be sweet!
